Saturday 1st September 2007
Event 1 :  "Say No to Knife Crime" - Youth Peace Rally
 Time : 11.00-17.30
Location :
Mitcham Fair Green
Details :

The spate of stabbings among youths has highlighted a dramatic rise in knife-carrying.  Some of our young people are caught up in a culture of violence, where carrying a knife or carrying a gun seems part of the norm of belonging. It was reported today that a youth was stabbed and killed and another critically ill in hospital.  We cannot let this go on unabated.  This is why the Power Centre Youths have decided to organise  a Peace Rally on Saturday, 1st September 2007,  to highlight this increasing problem and to appeal to all youths to desist from these deadly acts of violence that are resulting in the untimely deaths of our young people.

SPECIAL GUESTS, FOOD, DRINKS, ENTERTAINMENT, Poems,  Stall’s Talent show, Music etc
