Event 4 : Safer Neighbourhood Teams Grafitti Operation |
Time : Various |
|
Location : |
Various corner shops and Parades affected by Grafitti
|
Details : |
Other than on Network Rail property the worst graffiti in the Borough is on the shop shutters. Mostly of small retailers many of whom are repeat victims and reluctant to pay privately for the removal. This graffiti is generally only visible in the evenings and rarely reported to RBK, however it has a detrimental affect to the area and substantially increases the fear of crime. During September and as part of the London Week of Peace, a Partnership Operation will take place whereby the local Police Safer Neighbourhood Teams (PCSO's) will visit every corner shop and parade within their wards that are affected by graffiti.
