 Your involvement in the London Week of Peace is not limited to taking part in the central events. With the vision of involving all Londoners in a celebration of diversity, community planned events are vital to the ethos of the London Week of Peace.
You can choose to organise anything you feel has meaning to you, but at the same time attracts and encourages participation from various groups and cultures. Running an event or activity that reaches out to all parts of the community, and perhaps links up with other events throughout the week, will increase the success and effectiveness of getting across the message of the London Week of Peace, and underline the theme of Reconciliation, Collaboration and Celebration.
Although the main initiative runs from September 13th – 21st 2008, it is possible to hold events throughout September, the month of peace. Don’t forget to register your event online or email the information to events@weekofpeace.org.uk.

Get involved with the talent quest 2008 coming to your area soon.
You can nominate a Peace Award winner in your community for 2008.
Become a supporter / sponsor and partner with the London Week of Peace. Champion Peace Week in your community.
 Information Pack
The London Week of Peace is facilitated by a strategic group with representatives from a number of public, private and community organisations that have become key partners in this important annual event.
The Strategic Group has put together an information pack to help groups and individuals in local communities wishing to get involved in the LWOP and covers the practical aspects of running successful LWOP activities. | |||
